If you really want to take your participation to the next level, you can hire very good quality costumes at the entrance and not just soak up the atmosphere, but be part of it!
It’s great to come towards the end of the afternoon, in time to watch the sun go down over the castle walls (bring something warmer to wear for the evening), and then after enjoying some of the entertainment and stalls, why not stay for dinner, sitting outside and enjoying medieval food from one of the popular tabernas set up especially for the festival.
